To perform an authorized business activity, a foreign business entity may open a branch office in Kosovo. The full name of the foreign business organization with the suffix “Branch in Kosovo” or just B.K. shall be included in the official name of the branch of the foreign business organization in Kosovo.
The Kosovo branch is not a separate legal entity from the international commercial organization. Separate from the international corporate organization, the Branch Office must have its address, books, and financial records.
Required documents
To register a Branch Office for the first time, the authorized representative or authorized proxy must complete and submit the following documents to the KBRA:
- The Special form created by KBRA for the applicant,
- Copy of the owner’s identification and the authorized representative’s/approved proxy’s identification,
- The original or notarized copy of the foreign business organization’s business certificate.
- The Decision to create a Branch in Kosovo,
- A consent form signed by the authorized representative may be necessary.
